Join Robert Trotta in his fight to Make Suffolk Affordable Again!
Rob recognizes that our quality of life in Suffolk County, which includes safe neighborhoods, great schools, and terrific parks, is the primary reason why many of us have chosen to live here. Our residents expect our elected representatives to protect and improve these assets for future generations.
For 25 years Rob worked as a police officer for the Suffolk County Police Department, retiring in 2013 with the rank of Detective. For over 10 years he was assigned to the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, where he worked on complex cases ranging from money laundering to confiscating large quantities of cocaine from our streets. His hard work and passion for the job were recognized on several occasions by his superiors, including “Cop of the Year” in 1993 and “Detective of the Year” in 2001.
Rob retired from the SCPD in 2013 to run for Suffolk County Legislator with the goal of making Suffolk County government more efficient.
Rob was proudly sworn in as the Suffolk County Legislator for the 13th Legislative District on January 2, 2014. In 2015, Rob was re-elected for another two-year term with more than 70% of the vote and again in 2017.
As a County Legislator, Robert Trotta has fought on behalf of Suffolk County taxpayers against the rising taxes, fees and destructive spending policies of Steve Bellone and the County Democrats.
With your support, Rob will continue to follow through on his vow to put you, the taxpayer, first and work to improve our economy, making Suffolk affordable again!
